Phillips Equities & Trust is the family office of Donald E. Phillips and the parent company of Phillips Development & Realty. We invest the family's own capital in private companies, real estate, private growth and public markets, with no fund clock and no forced exit.
How we invest
An owner's balance sheet, not a fund's.
Because we invest only our own capital, we answer to one decision-maker and no outside limited partners. That lets us underwrite for the long term, move quickly when the right opportunity appears, and hold through a cycle rather than sell to a calendar.
We bring more than capital. Our principals have founded and sold operating companies, run a Nasdaq-listed technology business and developed more than $700 million of real estate. We use that experience to price risk carefully and to be a useful partner after closing.
Permanent capital
No fund life and no forced exit. We can hold through a cycle, accept a lumpy exit calendar and roll positions when that serves the asset.
Operating experience
Our principals have built and run real estate, consumer, transportation and technology businesses, including a public company. We underwrite from that experience.
